Three weeks ago I was very fortunate to do my second wedding as designated photographer for Tayla and Rudi de Witt at the stunning Whispering Thorns Guest Farm close to White River. It was a perfect wind still, blue sky autumn day in the Lowveld and Tayla and Rudi made a beautiful couple.
The ceremony was very emotional, at times so much so that I felt the emotion through my view finder. I want to thank Tayla and Rudi for allowing me to shoot their special day and for their warm hospitality. Special mention also to Marinda Cilliers for supplying the perfect wedding venue. A big thank you also goes out to my assistant Netta, who helped with arranging the subjects and took some great pictures as well.
Wedding photography comes with massive responsibility and I must admit that I was a tad nervous the evening before the big day. Since my first wedding shoot I was however capable of buying gear which was much more suited to wedding photography. That made a huge difference on the day with regards to confidence to do the job as well as the final result.
This is only the beginning of the road and there is so much more to learn, but it was immensely rewarding te receive positive feedback from the wedding couple when I delivered their photos and to know that these photos will last several generations.
